115 YEARS OF GERMAN INDUSTRIAL HISTORY
The increasing electrification at the end of the 19th and the early 20th century, especially in the field of electric lighting technology, paved the way for new industries. Two Franconian entrepreneurs, Siegfried Guggenheimer and Paul Gossen, were among the pioneers of measurement technology at the beginning of the 20th century, and their companies Metrawatt AG and Paul Gossen GmbH were initially competitors before the two companies merged in 1993 to form Gossen Metrawatt GmbH. This was preceded by the acquisitions of the Röchling Group, which first took over Gossen GmbH in 1989 and then ABB Metrawatt GmbH in 1992.

The GMC-Instruments Group, of which Metrawatt International GmbH is the operating holding company, is now one of the world's market leaders in the development and manufacture of measuring and testing instruments. Through the companies Gossen Metrawatt GmbH, MTP Messtechnik Produktions GmbH, GMC-I Service GmbH, Gossen Foto- und Lichtmesstechnik GmbH and Kurth Electronic GmbH in Germany, Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG in Switzerland, GMC-I ProSys Ltd. and Seaward Electronic Ltd. in the UK, and Dranetz Technologies Inc., Daytronic Corp. and Electrotek Concepts Inc. in the USA, as well as numerous group-owned sales companies, it now offers products, solutions and services for the electrical trade, industry, telecommunications and medical sectors.

EPLAN Platform- IZYTRONIQ Integration
IZYTRONIQ is a software for measurement data management in the testing of plants, machines, switchgears and devices. Based on the connector, the customer can automatically transfer the relevant data from the schematics in EPLAN (e.g. cable information, circuits, electrical devices), which is needed in IZYTRONIQ to transfer the complete structure to the Gossen Metrawatt test equipment used or to create the standard-compliant test documentation.
Customers thus benefit from an end-to-end process from electrical engineering with documentation to testing and standard-compliant documentation of implementation.
